01 — Inspection and verification

Hold and hatch inspection

We inspect the holds before the cargo goes in: cleanliness, dryness, odour, residues, paint, hatch covers, infestation.

← All services

The surveyor goes down into every hold and checks what can be seen and what cannot be seen from above: corners, under the ladders, topside tanks, bilges. What is found goes in the certificate, with photographs. The decision — accept or clean — is the client's.

What it covers

  • 01Inspection of holds and hatch covers before loading, with photographs
  • 02Residues of previous cargo, loose rust, flaking paint, water, odour, pests
  • 03Sealing and unsealing of holds, wagons and containers
  • 04Findings at discharge: water, condensation, heating

How it goes

  1. We receive the nomination.
  2. The surveyor boards on arrival, before loading.
  3. Inspects every hold and photographs.
  4. Notifies the client; issues the certificate the next day.

What you receive

Hold cleanliness certificate or survey report, with photographs, the list of holds and what was not accessible. If the client asks for cleaning, re-inspection afterwards.
